Sometimes the easier path would seem to be “status quo”. However, that is not what Smith & Long clients demand of us, much less what we demand of ourselves!
Hence the need for regular training and further education programs conducted both in-house by our own subject matter experts; whether it is voluntary or required by third-party training entities.
There are many mandatory safety training programs that we undertake and facilitate on a regular basis such as First Aid, WHIMIS, Working At Heights, etc., and these are complemented by a wide variety of site-specific and task-specific training certifications such as Arc Flash, CSA-Z462 Workplace Electrical Safety, Fire Alarm, ESA Safety Code Revisions, Elevated Lift Platforms, Supervisory Training, etc.
Whatever the course, certification, product training, or technical service and maintenance program training, etc., are pertinent and relevant for our personnel on behalf of our clients, the appetite for learning at Smith & Long is fostered by a company-wide sentiment that “status quo is boring” hence we continue to go and grow in skills training!
